CNOOC is China’s largest offshore oil & gas producer. CNOOC works in six business sectors: exploration and production, gas and power, chemical and fertilizer production and refining, technical services, logistic services and new energy, and financial services. The company has expanded operations, for example by overseas acquisitions and as of 2006 it had 27 overseas projects in operation.
CNOOC was listed by Fortune magazine in 2007 as one the world’s top 500 companies. In 2006, the World Productivity Congress selected CNOOC as one of the Top 10 Chinese Brands in the Global Market.
