| Gérard Mestrallet is Chairman of the Board and CEO of Suez and is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, Ecole de l'Aviation Civile, Institut d'Etudes Politiques and trained as a senior civil servant at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration. After a successful career, including the post as advisor on Industrial Affairs to Finance Minister Jacques Delors, he was was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Suez in May 2001.
Mr. Mestrallet also holds a number of prestigious posts, for example as advisor to the mayors of Shanghaï and Seoul and a membership at the European Round Table of Industrialists.
