Its products primarily include a range of wind turbines and wind power systems. The company also offers VestasOnline Business, a SCADA system for modern wind power plants. This system includes a range of monitoring and control functions allowing the wind power plants to be controlled in the same way as a conventional power plant. In addition, it offers a range of project planning, installation, and operational services. Vestas Wind Systems A/S operates primarily in Europe, the Americas, and Asia/Pacific.

| Ditlev Engel has been Chief Executive Officer of Vestas Wind Systems A/S since May 1, 2005 and also serves as its President. Mr. Engel worked for Hempel A/S, a privately held Danish maker of protective paints until October 2004. He served as Managing Director of Hempel Marine Paints A/S. He serves as a Board member of HSA (Danmark) A/S and Hempel Contractors A/S. Mr. Engel served as a Member of the Board at Aktieselskabet Dampskibsselskabet Torm (formerly, AS Steamship ... Co., Torm) from April 22, 2002 to April 2007. He holds a B.Sc. (Econ) and a B.Com. Degree from the Copenhagen Business School. He holds Diploma in Business Economics from Copenhagen Business School Denmark and General Management Program from INSEAD France. |
