Born on 7th January 1949, Mr. Kalyani is an Engineering Graduate from the Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani, and post graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA.

He is the Member of the National Council of Confederation of Indian Industries; Chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Indore; and Chairman, Board of Governors, SGGS College of Engineering & Technology, Nanded.
