| CEO, United Company RUSAL
Alexander Bulygin was appointed CEO of United Company RUSAL at its creation in March 2007.
Alexander is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s strategy as both an energy and metals corporation that meets best international standards for production, product quality, environment, industrial safety and corporate governance.
From November 2003, he held the position of CEO of RUSAL, before which, he was First Deputy CEO for 4 years. During the four years of his management, RUSAL grew to become the largest aluminium producer in Russia and a top-three global producer.
Alexander Bulygin’s professional career is deeply rooted in the aluminium industry. Before RUSAL was created, he held various executive positions in United Company Siberian Aluminium before being appointed as its Head in 1999. From 1993-1997, he headed the external relations department at RosAluminProduct.
Alexander Bulygin was born in 1968. In 1990, he graduated with honours from the Bauman Moscow State Technical University.
