3C Hosts Global Climate Leaders’ Roundtable in Warsaw

The 3C Initiative brought together influential figures from the world of business and politics to discuss the role of business in combating climate change. The group, including representatives from 3C as well as other leading initiatives including The Climate Group, the Copenhagen Climate Council, and the World Business Council on Sustainable development, expressed a common commitment in support of the UNFCCC process through COP 15 in December 2009. This message, supported by an in-depth discussion of important technical and policy measures needed to combat climate change, was delivered to the Chairmanships of both COP 14 (the Government of Poland) and COP 15 (the Government of Denmark) on behalf of the meeting’s participants and the broader business community. The meeting was further strengthened by the presence and support of the Club of Madrid, the International Finance Corporation, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
